Prince M. Zakaria is a distinguished environmental strategist, ESG advocate, and climate policy communicator championing Africa’s transition to a resilient, low-carbon future. He is the visionary founder and Strategic Lead of Ecozak Africa, a multidisciplinary environmental solutions firm focused on climate-smart restoration, ESG integration, and sustainability intelligence for public, private, and development sector actors.

Armed with a Master’s degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development from the University of Ghana, Zak brings over a decade of cross-sectoral experience in shaping policies, catalysing green investment, and mobilising stakeholder action on the continent’s most pressing environmental challenges. His leadership fuses scientific precision with policy acumen, enabling Ecozak Africa to design forward-thinking solutions aligned with national priorities, global frameworks, and local realities.

A fierce advocate for environmental governance reform, Zak has contributed to high-level policy dialogues and consultative processes with ministries, regulatory agencies, and multilateral bodies, advancing actionable strategies on land reclamation, ESG accountability, and climate adaptation.

He is the architect of the Green Transmission Corridors Initiative (GTCI), a transformative land-use innovation that repurposes energy infrastructure corridors into productive greenbelts, unlocking carbon finance, biodiversity restoration, and climate jobs without burdening the state.

Zak also leads Sankofa Sustainability, a pan-African ESG and climate journalism platform spotlighting the continent’s environmental trailblazers, policy innovations, and sustainability breakthroughs. Through his editorial and advocacy work, he drives climate literacy, corporate accountability, and transparency in Africa’s environmental space.

His mission is clear: to bridge the gap between science, policy, and action, ensuring that no institution is left behind in the pursuit of Africa’s just, green transformation.
